Besides the HET Journals
(Volume I,II and III), the HET produced a full-fledged book
"Himalayas Ecology and Environment" in 2000. It contained articles by
world's most eminent environmentalists.
It was followed by ' Incredible Himalayas: Environment, Culture, Tourism and Adventure ' 2005,
to mark the 40th Anniversary of the historic Indian Everset
Expedition of 1965 with best wishes messages from Dr. A P J Abdul
Kalam, President of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of
India, Smt. Sonia Gandhi.
This book also brought together the writings of some of
the greatest living Himalayan legends. It carried interesting and
informative articles by experts and enthusiasts. It not only tried to
explore the various factors that can contribute to the growth of
adventure and tourism in the Himalayas but also emphasized the need
to spread awareness about the preservation of the Himalayan ecology
and culture.
The third official publication of the HET, "CALL OF THE MOUNTAINS" was released in New Delhi on 14 October, 2008.
These publications aim at developing a sense of
responsibility among the people of the world, to protect the splendid
mountains for the future generation. Mountain lovers by their
writings bring out their best experience for the benefit of youth and
may send it to HET for consideration in this journal. We invite
publishing various development works and the problems being faced in
development. People interested in publication of their research
work will also find place in this journal.. HET welcome Himalayan
lovers all over the world to contribute to this publication which
is widely distributed.
