| ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS (14 October, 2009) HET is planning to organize a gala function in New Delhi to celebrate its 21st Anniversary. The Anniversary Celebrations of the HET will be an extravaganza which will see the who’s who of the mountaineering, environmental and conservation areas world. Citations and Mementos will be given to Patrons and Trustees. A souvenir is also proposed to be released. On this occasion the second 'Sir Edmund Hillary Himalayan Environment Award, instituted in honour of this HET's Founding Patron; willl be given to an Organisation or an Individual who made most outstanding contribution to the cause of Himalayan Environment. The first award was conferred on Dr. Andrea Schild, Director General, ICIMOD, on 14th Oct, 2008. Nominations are invited from all over the world and may please be sent at hetrust@del2.vsnl.net.in. or himalayanenvironmenttrust@gmail.com to reach by 31st July, 2009. The awardees should be prepared to visit New Delhi on 14th Oct, 2009 |
